Friday, 1/19 strength day
All lifts done in a circuit.
Deadlift 185x1, 225x1, 275x1, 315x1, 335x1, 340x3, 340x3, 340x3, 375x1 fail (almost reached my knees)
bench 135x1, 155x1, 165x1, 170x1, 175x1, 180x3, 180x3, 180x3, 200x1 PR (I think I actually made 205x1 one time in my pre-crossfit days, but this is the heaviest for about a year)
clean 85x1, 95x1, 115x1, 135x1, 145x1, 150x3, 150x3, 150x3, 165x1 PR
My 2007 goal is to do "Linda" as rx'ed. That's 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 reps each of:
deadlift 1.5 x bodyweight
bench bodyweight
clean .75 x bodyweight
Since I'm at 226 today, that means my dead weight for Linda is 337.5 - I was doing 340, so that's good, but 55 times in a single workout might kill me. My bench weight should be 225, and that's a way off. My clean weight is 168.75, and I'm close to that - but again, I don't know if I would live through doing it 55 times. The bench and clean PR's went up pretty easily today, actually, so I'm happy about that - the clean was smooth as can be.
I had originally planned to be doing 3-2-2-2-1-1-1-1-1 workouts at this stage, but I don't think the first few weeks of the year actually did much for me at all in terms of strength, so I think instead I'll repeat this workout 3 more times before my 1/2 intensity week - except heavier for the bench and the clean.

wow tim, look at you! nice job on those PR's! You are well above your DL weight for "linda"! You are so close to your clean weight and your bench is moving right along.

Here's Saturday, 1/20/07:
"Brat"
7 rounds for time:
-7 kb swings, 55 lb
-7 burpees
Finished in 9:35. Very tough, though - the short rounds mean you push hard the entire time. I was dripping and breathing hard at the end of round 1, just 45 seconds into the workout.

wow great job tim! 9:35 is EXCELLENT! I was thinking of doing Brat today, but decided to save her for next week. Nice work! enjoy your weekend!

Hi Tim,
Way to go! Your are officially the leader of the Brat Pack. That will be a hard time to beat. Did the swing or the burpees seem harder for you? I will try it some day next week.

"Filthy 50's"
-50 box jump, 24" box (2:45)
-50 jumping pullups (5:21)
-50 db swings, 35 lb (8:44)
-walking lunge, 50 steps (11:01)
-50 knees to elbows (sub 25 - man I hate these) (15:25)
-50 push press, 45 lbs (19:16)
-50 back extensions (23:12)
-50 wall ball shots, 20 lb ball (28:19)
-50 burpees (36:10)
-50 tuck jumps (40:02)
That beats my previous best time of 44:29. On that day, though, I did all 50 knees to elbows - but I didn't do burpees, I did squat-thrusts. Left a beautiful sweat angel on the floor.

nice work tim! I cringe everytime i see Filthy Fifties come up. I am really dreading this one today. Great job, and nice improvement! KTE are not my favorite either. All this workout needs is SDHP's and it would really suck!
