Thanks J. I try to mix up the rows and the pullups from week to week. I'll do rows first one time, and pullups first the next so that I can progress equally well with both. I also alternate grip forward or backward and rotating grip from set to set. This seems to give a better lat workout to me. If it will give better results or not, I can't say yet. I do know it kills the lats and biceps this way though.
And hunny...oh my??? You don't seem to be complaining much.

Didn't get to do sprints today. I got called in to work an extra shift so ended up running a lot... of ambulance calls. Still terribly sore from yesterday's workout, especially the upper back work, the chest work, the leg work, the arm work, and the ab work. Oh wait...I don't do arms and abs...WTF?? It seems that full body lifts actually do work the full body eh?

yea, im really glad i went to doing pull ups rather than pull downs. the pull ups REALLY hit the lats better. i dont alternate my grip really but i will usually try to do a few hammer gripped negatives after palms forward pull ups. may give palms in chin-ups a go. either way, to be able to do those at the end of a workout is really good.
main reason i do mine at the beginning is due to how hard it hits the biceps. doing them at the beginning lets my bis rest a lot before i do what little isolation i do.

Short workouts. Full body gets done quite well. Get stronger, get bigger, look better with less effort. All the BB stuff is left out because with this it's just not needed...What's not to like?
I've done a few variations. The best to me are the original and/or the A/B workouts.
The original is probably the best
M Squat, bench, row
W Squat, Bench, Dead
F Squat, Bench, Chin
I add overhead work on Wed if doing this.

Thanks, moving slowly in the right direction.

08-28-2010
After a relatively slow day of only 9 or so calls actually put my running shoes on for some cardio... and the only running I've gotten done was nonstop calls ever since.
We've just now stopped, it appears to be another busy Saturday night on the reservation. Time to grab some sleep before I have to go out again.

Workout A
5x5
Squat (heavy).....85, 95, 105, 115, 130
Bench (heavy).....85, 95, 105, 115, 130
Row BWxF.................10, 9, 6, 7, 7
Chin BWxF.................7, 5, 7, 4, 5
A good workout today. Still not where I want or need to be, but will get there. I've learned that I need to do 3 sets of chins palms ou and 2 palms in because out is now my weakness. Starting out and rotating in during the pull simply makes it too easy when there is a definite weakness that needs to be worked on.
Cardio tomorrow.
