It wasn't anywhere as close to being as good as the ones on either side of it.

It was much better than episodes one and two.

4,5,and 6 = good
1 and 2 = suck
3 = hopefully good

All just my opinion of course.

3 was done well. I then went home and re-watched 4 to see how it unfolds into it now knowing what we know from 3. It was like seeing the movie for the first time again. There are a few things that don't match 100% but you can figure ways that they would. But most of the speeches from Ben are more powerful now that you understand what he went through with Vader!

The Hobbit? That would have been better than LOTR. At least from what I remember from reading the book it was better.

If you want The Hobbit, there's a pretty old animated moved version of it.

I'm going to see it again this weekend. I'm not even a Star Wars freak, but I'm also going to watch 4, 5, and 6 again sometime soon. My friends and I are all organizing a HUGE Star Wars party, that would involve watching all of the movies 1-6 in succession.

Now all of them together once the last one is out on DVD - that would be fun. Maybe it will make #1 and #2 better - seeing them all in a row.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Episode 1 and Episode 2, IMO, set up Episode 3 perfectly. As movies alone, they're only good, but as a succession, they are better.

Just saw it today. I guess it does the job of providing entertainment, but just barely. The acting didn't seem like it was on-par with what it should have been.

Do yourself a huge favor: show up about two hours late and leave about two hours early

If Jar-Jar is Lucas' way of telling a good story, he really should've stopped puffing ASAP. I mean, come on. Thank God he wised up in the subsequent episodes and limited (and totally kept him silent in ep3) his dialogue.
